KSPS Pressroom

Now Is The Time

We're down to the wire in the effort to raise dollars by the end of our fiscal year, August 31st. Like everyone else, KSPS has had a difficult year financially. We have cut expenses everywhere, making some very tough decisions including layoffs, all the while working to be good stewards of your dollars.

But it’s really not about us; it’s about you. In this economy more and more people are counting on Public Television to provide the very best that television has to offer:  programs that take you back, spirit you away, provide information you can trust, and foster civility and optimism.

The programming bill we pay to PBS is increasing next year, in part because national production funding for many of our iconic series has been going away. Our budget year ends August 31st and that programming bill is due.

That is why I’m writing to you right now to ask for your special fiscal year-end extra gift to KSPS. It's not too late to make a difference!

Your programs need your support. Now is the time.

Contribute Now

Will you please consider an additional gift to help keep us in the black and ready to pay that programming bill? If you have the ability, now is the time to make an extra contribution to KSPS.

I know that you have many good causes to support with your hard-earned dollars, and many good stations to watch. Thank you for choosing KSPS on both counts. With your continuing support, together we can continue to make this station an important community resource for everyone. Now is the time!

Sincerely,
Patty Starkey Signature
